Q. Do you run classes in the summer?
A. No, DJDA classes run alongside the school term.
Q. Do you put on shows?
A. Yes we put on shows every two years. The excitement and adrenaline rush that comes from being on stage is one that, once experienced, is never forgotten.
Q. Do you offer exams?
A. Yes, we offer exams with the Professional Teachers of Dancing.
Q. Do you have to take exams?
A. No, exams are optional not compulsory, however we do encourage them. Exams are not here to frighten but to reward effort and achievement.
Q. Do you have a uniform?
A. Yes we have a uniform however new starters may wear anything comfortable to begin with. All pupils are expected to purchase the correct uniform after they have attended for a term (10 weeks)
Q. Can my child start if they are older?
A. Yes, we take new pupils at all ages, and although initially we may slot them into a class that is slightly younger than them (to ensure they do not struggle and get the basic technique) we usually fast track them up to their peers class.
Q. How will my child develop?
A. Every child is different and will develop at different stages. Some pupils will make better advances in one style more than another.
Q. What does my child need to bring to class?
A. Your child should bring a drink to class (non fizzy)
Q. What if my child doesn’t want to attend anymore?
A. You will need to notify us before the start of term.
Q. Is it just for girls?
A. Not at all! Boys are also welcome.
